2027 Mazda CX-30 Redesign, Dimensions, Review
2027 Mazda CX-30 Redesign, Dimensions, Review – One great example of a tiny luxury SUV with many of practical features is the 2027 Mazda CX-30. Quite the opposite, the interior build quality is head and shoulders above its mainstream rivals. One possible factor in the CX-30’s commercial success is its record-high score for adult occupant safety in Euro NCAP crash tests, which it shares with its popular SUV body style.
Not everything is perfect, though; rivals like as the Skoda Karoq and Peugeot 3008 offer more engine options and greater adaptability. But few crossovers and SUVs can compete with the tiny SUV from Mazda in terms of how much fun it is to drive thanks to its cutting-edge engine technology. Taken as a whole, the CX-30 is formidable.
There aren’t many competent models to build off of for the Mazda CX-30 because it is the first of its kind. While that may be true, the CX-30 does share some tech with its already outstanding stablemates, and the Japanese brand’s portfolio is known for not having any dickheads.
There is just one possible body design for the CX-30, a five-door SUV, but Mazda has upgraded the trim levels to include the Top-Line, Exclusive-Line, Homura, and Centre-Line, as well as the top-tier Takumi. 2027 Mazda CX-30 Redesign
2027 Mazda CX-30 Redesign and Update Plan
Exterior & Interior
Although it has a fresh look on the outside, the CX-30 is based on the same platform as the Mazda 3 hatchback. Two other noticeable changes are the addition of paneling around the wheel arches and sills and a more practical rear third. Ultimately, its contemporary style helps it to distinguish itself in a competitive market.
There are nine available paint colors, one of which is a striking metallic red dubbed “Soul Red Crystal”; higher-end models often come with larger 18-inch wheels in silver or black, while lower-end variations come with smaller 16-inch wheels in grey metallic.
Two kinds of cloth and one kind of leather make up the upholstery options. The former comes in dark gray or black with red stitching, while the latter is available in black with brown accents. Good news for those who are already familiar with the current Mazda3: the dashboard layout is same and expertly designed. The dashboard does an excellent job, all things considered, of blending aesthetics with utility. For example, it has the right number of buttons to manage the boredom of daily driving and looks modern and simple.
Taking everything into account, the cottage is at an ideal spot. The controls that a driver uses most, such as the gear shifter and the steering wheel, are large and have great tactile feel, which is appreciated. Although individually they may not seem like much, but combined they create a situation in which the majority of competitors would feel ashamed.
The quality of the equipment is also quite high. The Prime-Line trim level is the entry-level offering in the lineup; it comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic wipers, a HUD, AC, adaptive cruise control, and rear parking sensors. Additionally, Centre-Line has amenities like as front parking sensors, keyless entry, heated seats, and the ability to charge your phone wirelessly.
Go to the next level with Homura’s bigger 18-inch black alloy wheels, motorized tailgate, privacy glass in the back, and a choice of black gloss embellishments. Instead of black wheels, the Exclusive-Line model has shiny silver ones. In addition to the usual 8 speakers, it has a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a sunroof that slides and tilts, and adjustable LED headlights. Features featured on the top-tier Takumi include heated steering wheel, motorized driver’s seat adjustment, and black leather interior with brown accents.
Every CX-30 is equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a significant increase from 8.8 inches previously. In addition to being user-friendly, it is also free of unnecessary graphics and data. The Mazda, in contrast to rivals like the Volkswagen T-Roc, however, lacks a touchscreen on its display. A different method of control is in place, with shortcut keys encircling the main dial, much to BMW’s iDrive controller. You may also use the dial to scroll through the main menu items in the same way. You can fine-tune it anywhere you are, and it’s really user-friendly.
The absence of a touchscreen significantly slows down the input speed in several instances. Unlike competing systems, where entering an address is as simple as pushing a button, this one requires you to spin the dial several times until you get the desired one.
We noticed that the submenus on the older 8.8-inch model were less distracting at night due to their white text on a black backdrop, and that the route directions were clearly seen on the minimalist mapping display. Two USB-C connections, Bluetooth, digital audio broadcasting, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are all parts of the standard equipment in the CX-30.
2027 Mazda CX-30 Specs
Engine & Performance
The CX-30 offers a first-rate ride, as has been previously mentioned. When it comes to SUVs, the Mazda has some of the best-judged pedals, steering, and gear shifters. If these important areas of contact are nice, using the CX-30 will be more enjoyable regardless of speed.
Mazda’s engineers done an excellent job of reducing body roll, so it’s easy to see when the tires are going to rupture. Because of its lower ride height and higher ground clearance, the Mazda 3 provides even less body roll, making it a potential superior option for handling-focused drivers.
Despite its lower ride height compared to its stablemate, the CX-30 boasts several core benefits, the most crucial of which is a sturdy chassis. The CX-30 is softer than the Volkswagen T-Roc, but it still has its moments when it can’t handle little shocks at higher frequencies. Vibrations may enter the cabin as a result, particularly at slower speeds.
We often suggest the exceptional six-speed manual transmission because to how effortlessly it shifts. The exceptional smoothness that comes with automatic transmissions is often diminished when driving uphill, since the engine is kept revved up to its utmost, which can be a nuisance otherwise.
G-Vectoring Control Plus is standard on every Mazda CX-30. It aids in weight transfer by regulating the amount of power sent to the wheels. Though understated, the approach is quite successful. It stands out more to drivers on rainy roadways.
One of the most impressive technological aspects of the CX-30 is its Skyactiv-X engine. This vehicle makes use of the cutting-edge spark-controlled compression ignition technology created by the Japanese manufacturer. To sum up, Mazda has combined the strengths of diesel engines with those of gasoline-powered vehicles, resulting in an excellent hybrid.
On the other hand, Skyactiv-G engines are not left out of the tech carnival. They come with cylinder deactivation technology built in, which helps reduce fuel consumption and pollutants. Both the SkyActiv-G and the SkyActiv-X, which are 2.0-liter normally aspirated gasoline engines, and a mild-hybrid system are available for the CX-30. Due to its meager 120 hp and 213 nm of torque, the former is uninteresting.
These sorts of measurements show that the acceleration time from 0 to 62 mph for a manual gearbox is 10.6 seconds, but the acceleration time for an automated gearbox is 11.2 seconds. No matter the transmission, a CX-30 powered by a SkyActiv-G engine can reach a maximum speed of 116mph. Currently, there isn’t an all-wheel drive G model available. A claimed 183 horsepower and 240 Newton-meters of torque may be produced by the more powerful Skyactiv-X engine. Options for either two- or four-wheel drive are on the table. For front-wheel drive automobiles, the fastest time from 0 to 62 mph is 8.3 seconds with a manual gearbox and 8.6 seconds with an automated gearbox.
Automobiles with all-wheel drive take somewhat longer to reach 62 mph (8.8 seconds for manual transmissions and 9.0 seconds for automatics), but they are still competitive. No matter the gearbox or engine, Skyactiv-X versions are capable of 127 mph. These specs are comparable to those of rivals like the Skoda Karoq, but the normally aspirated engines used in Mazdas need more revs to get the same performance, partly due to a lack of torque at lower RPMs. 2027 Mazda CX-30 Redesign
2027 Mazda CX-30 Fuel Economy
The front-wheel drive Skyactiv-X is the most fuel-efficient and emission-reducing CX-30 option. The engine uses state-of-the-art combustion technology, which further enhances fuel economy, and mild-hybrid technology, which further improves fuel efficiency. The 127 g/km of CO₂ emissions and 50.4 mpg claimed by Mazda for this particular CX-30 are the results of its mixed cycle. To 46.3mpg and 137g/km of CO₂, respectively, when an automatic gearbox is installed.
Incidentally, the fuel economy numbers for the Skyactiv-X FWD auto model are identical to those for the all-wheel drive manual transmission version. You can turn it into a car and get 42.8 mpg on petrol while emitting 149 g/km of CO2. The mild-hybrid variants of the less powerful Skyactiv-G supposedly produce 134g/km of emissions and get 47.9mpg when driven manually. The automatic transmission is subpar as well, achieving 44.8 mpg total and 143 g/km of CO2.
We measured fuel efficiency estimates of 40–41mpg when testing the CX-30 with a Skyactiv-X engine many times. As usual, it doesn’t quite meet official specs, but it’s still competitive with petrol versions of the Skoda Karoq and the SEAT Ateca, both of which use 1.5 TSI engines. When compared side by side, the CX-30’s 38.9mpg fuel economy was far more outstanding. Even while some diesel cars boast better gas mileage than the Mazda, the premium price of black-pump gas more than covers the gap.
2027 Mazda CX-30 Safety Features
The 2023 Driver Power owner satisfaction survey did not include the CX-30 from Mazda, although the larger CX-5 SUV did manage to get the ninth rank. In comparison to Mazda, which came in at number seven overall out of thirty-two manufacturers, Hyundai, Toyota, and Volkswagen all came in lower.
In the crash testing conducted by Euro NCAP, the CX-30 was rated extremely highly. With an overall flawless score of five stars and a record-breaking 99 percent for adult occupant protection, it was clearly an impressive product. The Mazda scored an impressive 86% for protecting children in the car, an impressive 80% for vulnerable road users, and an impressive 77% for safety assistance. One reason for the high ratings is the amount of basic safety equipment, like as airbags, that is available across the board. One example of safety tech is autonomous emergency braking. Another is speed assistance, which helps maintain a constant vehicle speed. 2027 Mazda CX-30 Redesign
